Magoffin County deputies attempted to serve a warrant at the home of Matthew Sparks, 33, of Salyersville, early Friday morning. Upon arrival, deputies spotted needles and a plastic baggie containing white powder in plain view.

Upon a search of the home, official’s found heroin, meth and marijuana, along with two guns, scales and cash.

Sparks and Jennifer Clark, 32, were arrested on drug trafficking and possession charges. Sparks is also being charged with felon in possession of a firearm.
