Cross-County Pursuit Ends With Suspects In Custody

The Kentucky State Police Post in Ashland was asked to assist the Louisa Police Department concerning a car-chase that involved a home-invasion in Johnson County on Monday.

The pursuit began on US 23 before crossing over onto I-64.

When the suspect vehicle entered Greenup County, officers with the Russell Police Department used tire-deflation-devices in an effort to slow the chase. The car proceeded to swerve into the wrong lane, prompting officials to use legal intervention to bring the vehicle to a stop.

After the vehicle had come to a stop, officers identified the driver as Jarod Hall. The passenger was a minor who remains unnamed. It took officials three-hours of negotiating with Hall before the two stepped out to be taken into custody without incident.

Hall was then arrested and charged with fleeing police, receiving stolen property, wanton endangerment, and failure to appear, along with other traffic-related offenses.

The unnamed girl was also put under arrest and charged with fleeing police. She was taken to the Boyd County Juvenile Detention Center.

This case remains under investigation.
