Man Sentenced For Violent Kidnapping

A Kentucky man was recently sentenced to 43-years in a federal prison after committing a violent kidnapping that crossed state-lines.

 

According to federal prosecutors, 38-year-old Douglas M. Edmonson used a firearm while in Tennessee to force a victim into his car. He took that victim all the way to Corbin, Kentucky, where he proceeded to assault her over the course of two days.

 

The kidnapping took place in 2018, Edmunson pleaded guilty in September of last year. According to prosecutors, he was a member of a drug-trafficking group and they believe the victim may have stolen methamphetamine.
