Early Monday morning, Knox County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to reports of gunfire at a home on Maggie Cain Road in Barbourville.

 

Upon their arrival, officers discovered 35-year-old Donnie Ray Scott hiding behind the home. The rest of the home was empty and, upon searching Scott, officers discovered a bag containing suspected meth.

 

Officers checked the surrounding area and the Barbourville ARH in an attempt to find a possible victim to the alleged shooting, but to no avail.

 

Scott was charged with public intoxication and possession and is being held in the Knox County Detention Center.
