A man out of Floyd County is now facing rape-charges after law enforcement says they caught him with a 12-year-old girl.

 

An officer with the Pikeville Police was sent to check out a noise complaint just before 1:30 AM on Tuesday. The officer found the source of the complaint, a GMC pickup parked on the top floor of the building. It was inside the bed of the truck that the officer allegedly found 18-year-old John Douglas Tackett, of Printer, with the girl.

 

After the officer discovered the girl’s age, Tackett claimed he thought she was 16, but the girl protested that he did know her age.

 

Tackett was booked in the Pike County Jail on a charge of second-degree rape.
