Officials with the Kentucky State Police are currently investigating a deadly car-crash that took place on Friday afternoon in Rockcastle County.

45-year-old Stacy N. Day, of Mount Vernon, was driving a 2009 Nissan Murano when she lost control of the vehicle. Day crossed over the center line and crashed into a vehicle being driven by 75-year-old Mary A. Durham, also of Mount Vernon.

Durham was pronounced dead by the Rockcastle County Coroner at the Rockcastle Regional Hospital. Her passenger, 52-year-old Devin J. Miller, was also transported to the hospital and was treated for injuries that were considered NOT to be life threatening.
