Officials with the Louisville Metro Police Department report that one individual has died following a car crash in the Newburg neighborhood.

 

At around 2:30 AM on Sunday, a man was attempting to turn left in the 4500 block of Poplar Level Road when an SUV traveling in the opposite direction hit his car.

 

The SUV driver was transported to the University of Louisville Hospital with minor injuries. The other driver was pronounced dead at the scene. Both drivers were the only individuals in their respective vehicles at the time of the crash.

 

Police are still investigating this incident.
