Defendants Sentenced In Carjacking Case

The last of the defendants in a federal carjacking case have recently been sentenced to prison.

 

34-year-old Christopher Adam Cole, of Littcarr, and 49-year-old Angela Vanover, of Hazard, appeared in court this past Friday for their sentencing.

 

Cole had previously pleaded guilty to two counts of carjacking and one count of using a firearm during a violent crime. He was sentenced to 24 & ½ years in prison.

 

Vanover pleaded guilty to one count of carjacking. She was sentenced to 10 & ½ years in prison.

 

Both individuals were also ordered to pay over $10,000 in restitution.

 

The third defendant in the case, 28-year-old Brandi Hurt, of Bonnyman, had previously pleaded guilty and was sentenced earlier this year to 67-months in prison.
