Marlene Spradlin VanHoose, 88 of Auxier, KY, passed away March 7, 2022, at Mountain Manor of Paintsville. Born April 16, 1933, in Prestonsburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Alec M. & Hope Hereford Spradlin. Marlene was a door greeter for Wal Mart and a member of Auxier Freewill Baptist Church.

Visitation will be after 5 pm Wednesday (March 9, 2022) at Auxier Freewill Baptist Church, Auxier, KY

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm Thursday (March 10, 2022) at the church with Bobby Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hereford Family Cemetery, Prestonsburg, KY
