A man out of Corbin is now in jail following what officers are calling a scheme to steal equipment from the Pepsi Plant in Corbin, selling that equipment online.

Officials from the plant contacted Corbin Police saying that the subject of the thefts had been determined to have taken photos of the parts from within the plant before listing them for sale on eBay. Officers discovered the eBay account in question belonged to Joshua Tuttle, who had also posted pictures of the parts from within his personal vehicle.

Tuttle admitted to stealing the items, with officers finding more than $20,000 worth of Pepsi equipment recovered from his car and home. However, more than $27,000 worth of equipment had already been sold.

At the time of his arrest, Tuttle was found to have over a dozen hydrocodone pills within his jacket pocket. He is currently charged with possession of a controlled substance and theft by unlawful taking.
