Officers were called to a report of a vehicle blocking the railroad crossing on Island Creek Road in Pikeville, at around 9:00 PM on Sunday.

 

Upon their arrival, they discovered 34-year-old Bruce Bagley, of Pikeville, had made a wrong turn and managed to get his car stuck. Officers reported Bagley appeared to be highly intoxicated in addition to his being unable to speak clearly and failure of a field sobriety test.

 

When a train came down the tracks and crashed into his vehicle, officers say Bagley was intensely focused on putting his license back into his wallet.

 

No injuries were reported in the crash.

 

Bagley was arrested and charged with DUI and disrupting railroad operations.
