A man out of Salyersville is now facing felony charges after he allegedly threatened a woman with a machete and hit his own father with a stick.

That woman reported that 30-year-old Trenton Minix came to her home, despite her having an active domestic violence order against the man. She accused him of swinging a machete at her and stabbing the walls before he went outside and began fighting with his father, striking him twice with a stick.

Deputies with the Magoffin County Sheriff’s Office arrested Minix and charged him with first-degree assault, wanton endangerment, violation of a domestic violence order, and criminal mischief.
