Officials with the Pulaski County Sheriff’s Department reported on Tuesday that a death investigation was underway. This following a shooting on Monday.

 

After responding to the scene of the shooting on Monday night, deputies quickly called a coroner. 26-year-old Travis Popplewell was pronounced dead on the scene by the Pulaski County Coroner.

 

According to a release from the sheriff’s department, preliminary investigations showed Popplewell was assaulting his girlfriend with a child in the home when another child shot him.

 

This case is still under investigation.
