Laurel County Sheriff’s Office Officials announced the arrest of a man on Wednesday, following a drug investigation and foot chase.

 

Deputies are said to have been investigating a drug-activity complaint, when they spotted the suspect. According to a release from the Sheriff’s Department, the suspect tried to run after deputies approached him, dropping a black box in the process.

 

After a short foot-chase, deputies managed to catch the suspect and put him in custody.

 

Brandon L. Karr was arrested and charged with fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest, possession of a controlled substance, public intoxication, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

He is currently being held in the Laurel County Correctional Facility.
