Larry Thompson, age 78 of Pikeville, Kentucky passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 at his residence.

Born December 13, 1943 in Hart County Kentucky, he was the son of the late Wayne Thompson and Ailene Carter Thompson.

Larry was a retired truck driver and a Veteran of the United States Army.

Funeral services will be held 10:00am Saturday, April 16, 2022 at the Betsy Layne Free Will Baptist Church (57 Church Street, Betsy Layne, Kentucky 41605). Graveside services will be held 4:00pm (Central Time) Saturday at the Thompson Family Cemetery in Hardyville, Kentucky. Military Honors will be conducted at the cemetery. Barry Clark will officiate. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that Memorial Contributions be made to the Betsy Layne Freewill Baptist Church (57 Church Street, Betsy Layne, Kentucky 41605).

Arrangements are under the direction of the Phelps & Son Funeral Home.
