Sherry Denise (Murphy) Dotson, 54, of Beech Creek, WV tragically departed this life on Sunday, April 17, 2022 at Beech Creek, WV.   Born August 16, 1967 at Man, WV, she was the daughter of Effie Jane (Chafin) Hardesty of Mate Creek, WV and the late Benjamin “Benny” Murphy.

Sherry was a graduate of Matewan High School and was an employee of Coalfield CAP having worked for approximately 28 years in the Mingo County Head Start System.  She was currently the teacher at the Delbarton Head Start.

In honoring her wishes, cremation will take place.  A simple celebration of life service and burial of her cremains will take place at later date and will be announced when finalized.
