Troy James, age 82, passed away Sunday, April 24, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  Troy was born on March 21, 1940 to his parents the late Jessie James and Lora Belcher James.  He was the husband of Margaret Taylor James and a believer of the Christian Faith.  Troy had several jobs over the years, he was a former deputy Sheriff, retired from the Pike County Detention Center, a superintendent at Pittson Coal Company, and manager of Drift Away Farms, to name a few.

There will be a private family visitation and funeral.  Burial will follow in the Annie E. Young Cemetery at Shelbiana, Ky.
