Following a recent traffic stop, a Floyd County man who is already facing many charges of methamphetamine trafficking was charged with supplying the substance again.

On April 19, Deputy Darrin Lawson and Martin Police Officer Brad Stidham performed a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by Nicholas Hagans, 45, of Hagans Hollow, Langley, according to court filings.

Lawson wrote that he was aware that Hagans was wanted on active indictment warrants.

According to Lawson, the officers arrested Hagans on the warrants after smelling marijuana coming from the vehicle. According to the citation, a Glock 9mm handgun was discovered tucked between the seats where Hagans was sitting during a check of the car.

Officers also discovered three bags containing a crystal-like drug suspected of being methamphetamine, as well as various pills suspected of being hydrocodone, oxycodone, and morphine, and 16 grams of a substance suspected of being marijuana, according to Lawson.
