A Pulaski County man was arrested on several charges following multiple attempts to serve warrants.

 

32-year-old Johnathan Scott Whitacker, of Somerset, was discovered hiding beneath a mobile home off of KY 1003.

 

Deputies report asking Whitaker to come out from under the home, but he refused, giving cause for the officers to go under after him. One of the deputies is said to have used his taser on Whitaker before placing him under arrest.

 

The initial chargers against Whitacker were for fleeing police and resisting arrest. Deputies served additional warrants for fleeing police, possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, improper display of registration plates, failure of owner to maintain required insurance, and no registration plates.

 

The warrants cover charges that go back to March of 2020.

 

Whitaker is currently being held at the Pulaski County Detention Center.
