A suspect was arrested out of Rowan County on burglary and drug charges.

According to officials, Brittany Dehart broke into a home this past Friday. A gun, gaming systems and other items are said to have been reported stolen, including a bag of oranges.

Deputies are said to have found an abandoned car close to the scene of the crime, with orange peels sitting on the ground next to it. They also saw a bag of oranges inside.

The car was then towed with instructions to contact the sheriff’s office if anyone attempted to claim the vehicle or any of its contents.

Two days later, officers received word from the towing company saying that Dehart was on her way to retrieve something from the vehicle.

Upon her arrival, officers searched the vehicle she came in, finding a gun and several other items that had been reported stolen from the home, alongside drugs and drug-related items.

Dehart is now facing charges of burglary and drug trafficking.
