A man out of Pike County has been formally charged in the death of his son.
On Wednesday evening, a grand jury indicted 61-year-old Larry Harris, of Abner Fork, on a charge of murder. Harris is accused of shooting his son, 38-year-old David Harris, on March 30th of this year.
According to police, the two men had been drinking and arguing when the shooting happened. Afterwards, Larry Harris called 911 to report the shooting. He reportedly refused to give first aid to his son.
State Police Detective Tony Tackett testified in a hearing back in April that David Harris had been shot six times.
Larry Harris will remain in the Pike County Detention Center.
