Harlan County Man Arrested On Drug Charges

Officials with the Kentucky State Police announced the arrest of a Harlan County man on several drug charges on Monday.

 

Troopers made a traffic stop on June 4th in the Bledsoe Community of Harlan County.

 

Reports indicate that troopers saw a bag of what they believed to be marijuana, in plain sight.

 

Following a search of the vehicle, officers are said to have uncovered marijuana, other illegal drugs, and over $14,000 in cash.

 

39-year-old Lawrence Lucas was arrested and transported to the Harlan County Detention Center. He now faces charges for trafficking in a controlled substance, trafficking marijuana, DUI, no insurance, no registration plates, and no driver’s license.
