Officials with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office announced the name of the person who died in a car crash on Wednesday afternoon.

 

According to a release, the crash is said to have happened at around 3:50 PM. Officials say one car ran into a fence, turning over and ejecting some of the passengers.

 

Two people were ejected from the vehicle, two were trapped inside when the car turned over, and 18-year-old Jodie Bennett  was pronounced dead at the scene.

 

Three individuals were air-lifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.
