A man out of Knott County has recently pleaded guilty to a federal gun charge.
62-year-old Tommy Short, of Emmalena, pleaded guilty in court on Friday to a single count of conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of meth.
Short admitted in his plea agreement that he had developed relationships with multiple meth sellers and to actually selling the drug in Knott County over the past three years. Short was also accused of adopting the alia “Bob Slade” in order to sell the drugs over Facebook.
Confidential informants are said to have purchased a total of 10-ounces of meth from Short over the course of six interactions.
If Short’s plea deal is approved by a judge, he will face a sentence of between 10-years and life in prison upon his sentencing.
