Stacy Earlon Hopkins, age 75, of Elkhorn, Ky, passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Pikeville Medical Center.  He was born on June 23, 1947, the son of the late Thomas “Tom” Hopkins and Zelba Hall Hopkins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Douglas Hopkins, by six brothers and three sisters.

Before his retirement, Stacy was a coalminer.  He was a preacher at Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church and the Moderator of both Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church and Ashcamp Old Regular Baptist Church.

Visitation will be held on Monday, July 18, 2022, at the Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church after 6 PM.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 1 PM at the Pine Grove Old Regular Baptist Church with Robert Osborne, Jimmy Dale Sanders, Frank Ronnie Coleman, Mitchie Paul Coleman and Steve Coleman and others officiating.  Burial will follow in the Hopkins Cemetery at Poorbottom.

Special services will be held on Monday and Tuesday nights at 7 PM
