A man out of Southern Kentucky was arrested over the weekend for accusations that he stole a pickup truck.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a home on Piney Grove Road after someone reported seeing a pickup truck they believed had potentially been stolen.
Upon their arrival, deputies found 28-year-old Edward L. Decker, of Somerset, asleep inside of a camper. The officers noticed a rifle positioned next to the bed. They announced themselves before entering and proceeded to arrest the man.
The rifle was secured since a background check revealed Decker to be a convicted felon. The truck was also confirmed to be stolen.
Decker now faces charges for receiving stolen property and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. He is currently being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
