Two women out of Pulaski County were recently arrested on drug charges.

A car that was said to be leaving a house on Little Rock Run allegedly ran a stop sign, which initiated a traffic stop.

Deputies say that during the stop, they recognized the passenger as a person with active arrest warrants.

Misty Ison was arrested on the warrant and deputies say they found drugs within her handbag.

The driver of the vehicle, April Meade, of Little Rock Run, was allegedly attempting to hide items within the car. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered a baggie containing over 28-grams of suspected meth.

Officers then took their investigation to the home the two women had been leaving. Within the home, they are said to have found around 89-grams of meth in addition to digital scales, baggies, marijuana, a pistol, ammunition, and drug paraphernalia.

Ison was arrested and charged with flagrant non-support, being a persistent felony offender, trafficking in a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Meade was also arrested and charged with trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of marijuana.

Both women are currently being held in the Pulaski County Detention Center.
