A Pikeville businessman, who was found guilty of fraud charges last November, has reportedly not begun paying back the $3.2 million he was ordered to forfeit to the government.
36-year-old Eugene Sisco III, was found guilty of healthcare fraud and wire fraud last year. The charges stem from a pair of schemes being run out of his drug-treatment clinics. Sisco had been charging Medicaid patients to pay for services that were already covered by Medicaid. He also billed the government for unnecessary drug screens.
Prosecutors are now asking for the court to make Sisco give up the interest in a number of properties, including his home.
Because Sisco has not yet made the first payment, the government is now requesting that a judge substitute his interest in his home and four other properties. Sisco will have the opportunity to respond to the motion before a judge makes a ruling on the request.
