Officials with the Kentucky State Police are currently investigating an officer-involved shooting that took place on Monday night in Knox County.

 

Barbourville Police contacted the State Police following an incident involving a woman and a Barbourville Police Officer.

 

The woman was transported to ARH, where she was then pronounced dead by the Knox County Coroner.

 

The shooting remains under investigation.
