A woman out of Clay County, who pleaded guilty to murder in the death of her newborn baby, has been sentenced.
On Monday, Amber Bowling was sentenced to 40-years-in-prison. Bowling pleaded guilty in May of this year.
In December of 2018, State Police reported that Bowling had put the baby into a garbage bag before throwing it over a banister.
According to an autopsy, the newborn suffered cranial bleeding and fractured ribs.
The sentence itself was a part of a plea agreement.
