Pike County Man’s Properties Seized By Order Of Judge

A federal judge recently ordered the seizure of the home and other properties of Eugene Sisco III, of Pikeville, who was convicted of fraud last year.

A jury determined that Sisco required patients at his drug treatment centers to pay cash for services that were covered by Medicaid in addition to having them undergo medically unnecessary urine tests.

He now has a 10-year prison sentence along with an order to pay restitution and forfeit $3.2 million to the government. After failing to make payments on the forfeiture, the government asked that Sisco’s properties be substituted as payment towards the debt. The properties in question include Sisco’s home, four other properties, lab equipment, and a 1992 Chevy Corvette.

Recently, Sisco attempted to argue that it was too soon to seize his properties, saying that his case is under appeal.

The judge disagreed, however, and he ordered the immediate seizure and disposal of Sisco’s interest in all of the properties.
