Woman Arrested Following DUI With Child In Back Seat

A woman out of Williamson was arrested after she crashed her car while allegedly driving drunk and with a child in the back seat.

 

Officers were called on Saturday night to a report of a single-vehicle crash along RT 612 at Turkey Creek.

 

The officer discovered the driver of the vehicle, 27-year-old Faith Browning, in the back of an ambulance. She allegedly told police that she took a curve too fast and then lost control of her vehicle.

 

The officer is said to have detected a strong scent of alcohol on the woman and proceeded to ask her about it. She allegedly informed that officer that she had three shots of Jagermeister mixed with Red Bull around three hours before choosing to get behind the wheel.

 

That officer also spoke with the 11-year-old child, who was located in the back seat of the car. She informed police that Browning and another adult in the vehicle appeared to be drunk, she also told them that Browning was driving very fast. The child was taken to the Pikeville Medical Center with moderate-to-severe injuries.

 

Browning also allegedly failed a field sobriety test and a breathalyzer.

 

She was arrested for DUI, endangering the welfare of a minor, and other charges.
