A registered sex-offender was recently arrested in Lawrence County.

 

41-year-old Joey Dickerson, also known as Joey Rife, was arrested on Saturday by deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department. He had his current address listed as being in Louisa, but that did not match the address he had most recently given to authorities.

 

Dickerson was indicted for failure to comply with sex-offender registration in June of 2021. He has been considered a fugitive since not showing up for his arraignment over a year ago.

 

He was originally placed on the sex-offender registry following pleading guilty to third-degree rape in 2010. The victim in that case was 13-years-old.
