Officials with the Madison County Sheriff’s Office announced than an escaped inmate has been recaptured.

The sheriff’s office officials say 36-year-old Daniel Diles escaped from custody around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday morning during court proceedings.

Investigators received a tip Wednesday night about his location and tracked him to an apartment complex in Richmond.

Diles has been charged with 2nd degree escape.
