Man from Bath County Wins $700,000 from Scratch-off Lottery Ticket

One man from Bath County has won over $700,000 from a scratch-off lottery ticket.

Kentucky Lottery officials said the man, who wanted to remain anonymous, stopped for breakfast at the Liberty Mart #3 in Owingsville, where he bought a $20 Mega 7′s Limited Edition ticket.

When the man arrived home later that day, he scratched the ticket off when he got home, realizing he matched the number 26 on the last row.

The man told lottery officials that he became very nervous when he realized he had won the top prize of $777,000

The man, along with his wife and son, traveled to Frankfort to claim the prize at Kentucky Lottery headquarters.

After taxes, the man took home $551,670.

As far as what they plan to do with the extra money, he told officials they’re going to take their time on how they will use their winnings.

The family plans on taking their time on deciding what to do with the prize money.

Liberty Mart #3 will receive a nearly $8,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
