One person is now dead following a single-vehicle crash in Laurel County.

 

The crash happened at around 2:00 PM Sunday afternoon, on Slate Lick Church Road, near London.

 

According to deputies with the Laurel County Sheriff’s Office, a Kia Soul SUV is said to have left the road and struck a tree. The driver of the vehicle, 61-year-old Donald Howard, of East Bernstadt, was transported to the hospital where he later died.

 

There is currently no word as to the cause of the crash.
