The Logan County Sheriff’s Office has announced that a man out of Logan County died Monday morning after being hit by a vehicle on county Route 16.

49 year old George Jude Jr. was the victim of the accident.

According to investigators, Jude was in the middle of the road when heavy fog was present and limited visibility. The accident happened in the Braeholm community around 6:15 a.m.

According to the sheriff’s office, the roadway is also known as Buffalo Creek Road.

Deputies stated the driver operating the vehicle was a man from Amshersdale who’s in his early 40’s. He was arrested for driving on a suspended license after a a DUI and no proof of insurance. The man was arraigned and posted bond.
