
An Eastern Kentucky man has been found guilty for a murder that happened in 2017. Police arrest Jeffery Scott Taylor back in March of 2017 for the murder of 36 year old Shannon Vaughn Saylor. Saylor was found dead in Clay County.
During this time, Taylor and Saylor were in a relationship. Taylor has been accused of hitting Saylor with a rock, which resulted in her death.
A Laurel County Judge handed down Taylor’s verdict Thursday, October 6th . Laurel County Clerk’s Office staff confirmed Taylor was found guilty of the murder.
The jury gave the recommendation a total of 30 years in prison. He would serve 25 years in prison for the murder and 5 years for tampering with physical evidence. Taylor’s formal sentencing has been set for 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 19th .
