A man out of Elliot County has been sentenced to serve 100 years in federal prison for child exploitation.
The defendant, 51-year-old Ronald Stinespring, pled guilty back in May to several charges of sexual conduct with a minor.
Officials said the investigation began after a young girl, who was dirty and malnourished, knocked on a door in Elliott County.
The girl told law enforcement that Stinespring had repeatedly physically and sexually abused her and two other girls.
She also told law enforcement that she was trapped in Stinespring’s home for over two years.
According to the girl, some of the abuse she had to endure includes being tied up, being forced to sit on rocks for a long period of time, having water poured over her and being tazed with a stun gun.
When police arrived at Stinespring’s home, they came across what they believed to be roadblocks made of logs and downed trees.
When police searched the home, they found pregnancy tests, birth control pills and a fetal doppler. They also discovered explicit photos and videos of the victims.
Stinespring sent a letter to one of the victims while he was in prison. According to officials, Stinespring attempted to pressure the victim into take responsibility for the crime. The letter was written in a secret code that was later deciphered.
