A disabled dog in Breathitt County, going by the name Baby Steven, was found severely injured by a good Samaritan this past July, and is looking for a good home.

Baby Steven’s foster mom, Christine Cooke said says the good Samaritan took Baby Steven to the shelter.

The dog’s back legs are paralyzed, due to a pellet from a bb gun had into his spinal cord.

Cooke said that the dog was in such bad shape when he was found, the vet recommended euthanizing him, due to the dog not being able to walk and losing a lot of blood.

However, Sweet Paws, a nonprofit organization who was helping displaced animals in Breathitt Co. after flooding, took Baby Steven in.

A pet mobility company called ‘Walkin Pets’, got Baby Steven outfitted with a wheelchair. With time and therapy, the dog quickly got used to the wheelchair.

Sweet Paws is searching for a family for Baby Steven, who has time and experience with disabled pets.
