An executive order from the office of Mark McKenzie, Johnson County Judge/Executive:

Based upon current dry and predicted weather conditions, and the extreme danger of forest fires in Johnson County, I, Mark McKenzie, County Judge Executive of Johnson County, do hereby issue the following executive order effective immediately, October 20, 2022.

All outdoor burning in Johnson County is prohibited under the authority of KRS 149.401. This prohibition is in effect until further notice. I urge all Johnson County citizens to comply with the order so we can preserve Johnson County’s timber resources.
