Three People Arrested after Spray-painting Vulgarities on Church, Causing More than $3,400 in Damages

Three people were arrested in Logan County after a vandalism spree.

Two weeks ago, deputies began an investigation after vulgarities were found spray-painted on the Henlawson Church of Christ. The damage cost more the $3,400.

Deputies discovered during the investigation, that another church, a bowling and several little league baseball fields, had been targeted in the vandalism spree. Police identified a vehicle suspected to be involved in the crime after reviewing video footage of the incidents.

An anonymous tip led authorities to 21-year-old Stephanie Rae Nida, of Logan.

Deputies discovered red paint on the door handle of the suspect’s vehicle when they went to question her. Law enforcement say Nida confessed to the vandalism. Two more suspects in the case had been identified, 19- year-old Katelyn Woods and 22 year old Griffen Williams. Both suspects are from Henlawson. Deputies say both Woods and Williams also gave a confession.

All three suspects have been arrested on charges of conspiracy and felony destruction of property. They are being held on $10,000 cash bond at the Southwestern Regional Jail at Holden.
