A former science teacher at South Laurel Middle School was named in a four-count indictment by a Laurel County grand jury on Friday, on reported sexual abuse charges.

According to the indictment, Tim Thompson, of London reportedly committed first degree sexual abuse involving a minor between October 13th , 2021, and November 18th , 2021.

The indictment also states that Thompson was in a position of authority or special trust in all four counts.
