A man out of Detroit was recently sentenced to 15-years in prison for his involvement in a drug ring operating out of Johnson and Magoffin counties.

30-year-old Jayshawn Robinson was sentenced to 185-months in prison on Friday.

Robinson had previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute over 500 grams of meth and heroin. He also admitted to being the supplier for a drug dealer who was operating in Johnson County- 53-year-old Charles Chandler, of Tutor Key.

Chandler’s home was raided by police in August of last year after undercover officers are said to have bought meth off of him on three separate occasions. Officers managed to seize over 500 grams of meth and around $19,000 in cash.

Chandler pleaded guilty alongside two others; 36-year-old Ashley Johnson and 33-year-old Cory Johnson, both of Salyersville, had previously pleaded guilty in the case.

Chandler received a 90-month prison sentence while Ashley Johnson is serving 80-months and Cole Johnson was sentenced to 46-months.
