An update from the Kentucky State Police:

 

The KSP Electronic Crime Branch arrested Jose Miguel Guerrero, 26, on charges related to child sexual abuse material.

 

Guerrero was arrested as the result of an undercover Internet Crimes Against Children investigation. The KSP Electronic Crime Branch began the investigation after discovering the suspect possessing images of child sexual exploitation online.

 

The investigation resulted in the execution of an interview at a place of business in Georgetown on October 27, 2022. Equipment used to facilitate the crime was seized and taken to KSP’s forensic laboratory for examination.

 

Guerrero was charged with one count of possessing or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12. Possessing or viewing matter portraying a sexual performance by a minor under the age of 12 is a Class-C Felony punishable by five to ten years in prison. 

 

Guerrero was lodged in the Scott County Detention Center.
