Now, an update from the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department:

Laurel County Sheriff John Root is reporting that: Laurel Sheriff’s Deputy Austyn Weddle arrested Steven Neely age 31 of Mount Zion Rd., East Bernstadt on Thursday night November 3, 2022 at approximately 7:42 PM. 

The arrest occurred off Robinson Creek Road, approximately 9 miles South of London after this subject was charged on a Laurel District Court complaint warrant of arrest charging theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting regarding charges filed by London city police officer Jared Hale. In addition, the subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on numerous violations. In addition, this subject was charged on a Pulaski District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting. This subject was also charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting. Also, the subject was charged on a Laurel District Court bench warrant of arrest charging failure to appear in court on charges of theft by unlawful taking – shoplifting. This individual was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center.
