A man from southwest Virginia is now facing charges following an incident that happened back in October.

On Thursday, 42 year old Trey Adkins of Grundy was arrested by Virginia State Police.

In October, Troopers began investigating Adkins for possibly violating a protective order. Troopers discovered that Adkins had violated the order over 30 times.

Adkins is charged with 35 counts of stalking, 35 counts of violating the protective order, one count of destruction of public property, one count of disorderly conduct, one count of inducing a witness to provide false testimony and one count of illegal use of a tracking device.

He was placed in the Southwest Virginia Regional Jail in Haysi without bond.
