A crash occurred in Letcher County today that left one person dead.

Letcher EMS officials said the crash happened on Highway 7, south of Blackey, just around 8:30 a.m.

It’s being reported that the driver went off the road and was ejected from the vehicle after it flipped over multiple times. The driver was the only person in the vehicle during the crash.

The Victim has been identified as 22 year old Matthew Bailey. He passed away in the ARH hospital in Whitesburg.
