
A man who is connected with setting a wildfire earlier this month in Wayne County, West Virginia has been arrested.
The man, Robert Pelfrey, is facing two counts of setting fires to lands.
According to court documents, Investigators were told by several eyewitnesses that they overheard Pelfrey state that he was going to set a wildfire.
According to investigators, three witnesses informed police that they saw Pelfrey set at least two wildfires.
The wildfire burned more than 500 acres of land near Mary and Plymale Ridge, according to the West Virginia Division of Forestry
Pelfrey posted a $5,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday, December 21.
