
Dickenson County, Virginia law enforcement collaborated with the 29th Circuit Narcotics Task Force to conduct a “buy/bust” operation, in order to crack down on drug trafficking in the area.
According to Police, the Dickenson County Sheriff’s Office, Buchanan County Sheriff’s Office, the Virginia State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and Grundy Police Department are part of the task force.
The operation lasted three months following police receiving several leads of drugs being trafficked from Indianapolis to Dickenson County.
According to deputies, the subject of the bust making a delivery every two weeks to a distributor in Dickenson County, bringing in over $11,000 worth of drugs with each delivery
A person of Interest was arrested by police. Police also recovered meth, 2 guns and other types of drugs.
The combined street value of the drugs is over $50,000.
